If you're a foster parent or rescue group listing your foster's availability
in as many places as possible helps place your dog. Keeshond Rescue Online
(http://www.keeshond.com) will list just about any dog looking for a new
home. It doesn't have PetFinder's traffic but does get people specifically
looking for a keeshond to rescue.
There are a few simple rules:
1. The dog must be in the foster care of the listing person or in the
home of a person well known to the listing person. We don't list
dogs in shelters
except in very special cases.
2. The dog must have some obvious keeshond traits or blood. Honorary
keeshonds are only listed in special cases.
3. You need to tell us about the dog using a simple template. The template
is available or downloadable as ListDog.doc as
a Microsoft Word document or ListDog.pdf as
a PDF document. The parts the lister needs to fill in are in red.
When finished just e-mail in any format (text is OK) to steven@bobker.com.
The dog will
be on the site within 36 hours and often much faster. It's not PetFinder;
the budget is much smaller.
4. If you don't hear from us that we got the template within 24 hours
or so, send a simple one-line message to steven@bobker.com asking
if the template
was received. Keep this one simple: no attachments, no HTML anything.
Our spam filter is very aggressive and might catch some templates.
It shouldn't
but it might.
5. You need to provide 1 to 3 photos. These should be attached
to your template e-mail. Photos make a huge difference in placing
dogs.
Don't
worry about
size or quality; we'll fix as needed. If you don't have photos
and have a reason, tell us. Exceptions seem to be the rule at KRO.
6. You need to let us know when the dog is placed.

Sample Bio below. Make as detailed as you'd like.
DogName is an owner turn-in due to his owners' finding that they did
not have the time to devote to him.
DogName is around 2.5 to 3 years old, gets along well with other dogs
and is fine with cats. He is a quick learner and has settled in well.
DogName
likes just hanging out in the house or playing outside.
This boy (well, neutered boy) craves attention since he didn't get very
much from his former home and needs a family willing to devote time and
attention to him.
DogName is on the the high end of being medium size (19" at the
front shoulders) and obedience classes are recommended.

Note on photos
The best listings have 1 to 3 photos. One should be as full face as possible.
The others can be cute or profiles or just about anything. They'll be
cropped pretty tightly, unless of course there's some reason not to or
you want
the background shown. Just add a note to the template. Please send the
photos as JPEG (.jpg) files. If that's a problem, send whatever you have.
We can deal with, we think, any format. If you have a chance to adjust
the quality go for extremely high or the maximum setting. If that was
gibberish to you, don't worry. Don't bother to adjust the size. We'll
do that at
the end and the larger photos look better when reduced anyway, IF you
have questions, ask.
